We don’t know when A Discovery of Witches Season 3 will premiere yet. On the other hand, the earliest you can expect it to debut on Sundance Now, Shudder, or AMC+ is ancient 2022.
That said, A Discovery of Witches fans know the showrunners take their time getting the series just perfect. After all, we had to wait two years to get Season 2! (Which is still operating in the USA as of book.)
Teresa Palmer clarified to Decider the basis for its delay. “It was quite challenging to determine how to weave the modern scenes in with the Elizabethan scenes,” she explained. “So, that took up a while after which there were lots of CGIs because clearly, Diana is developing her magic.”
Hopefully, the CGI doesn’t take so long this time around. The other good but spoiler-y news? Fans can expect to see Matthew and Diana in contemporary times…
