The MagSafe Duo would be released at the end of the month

  • The duo version of Apple’s wireless charger could be released in mid-December.

Last October, during the keynote presentation of the iPhone 12, Apple unveiled a new wireless charger, the MagSafe. Unlike the project killed in the AirPower egg, the MagSafe charger has indeed been commercialized. Moreover, the latter will be entitled to two models; a standard version and a duo version. The latter will allow you to charge an iPhone and an Apple Watch or AirPods simultaneously by induction.

If Apple presented it at its October keynote, the apple firm had been rather stingy in detail regarding the MagSafe Duo. It had not announced its sale price or its release date, but several leaks remedied it.

It is well known that the MagSafe Duo would be marketed at a price of 149 euros compared to 45 euros for the standard version. A significant amount to which you will have to add 25 euros to enjoy quick recharging with the adapter with a power of 20W.

Regarding the release date, a Swiss dealer seems to have sold the wick. While Apple’s various online stores are still “coming soon,” the Swiss website said yesterday that the MagSafe Duo would be delivered between December 21 and 29, suggesting it would be released on December 21, just in time for Christmas.

However, at the time of writing, the retailer has changed its delivery times and now indicates that the MagSafe Duo will finally be available from December 16. The charger could therefore be available as early as mid-December unless the dealer is wrong and displays random delays…

In any case, there is still a good chance that the charger will be marketed before the end of the year.
