YouTube: Learn the trick to converting audio from a video to text

If you want to know what they said in a YouTube video but don’t have much time, this method will do you good.

To convert the audio of a YouTube video into text you need to listen to all the audiovisual material, which can take a long time. Luckily, there is a trick that will allow you to do transcription in seconds.

Do you want to learn it?

This method is quite simple and does not require you to download any strange program. It is also advisable to use it on a computer or laptop, as from a cell phone it can be more complicated.

The first thing you need to do is search for the YouTube video you want to transcribe. Make sure that the audio is heard loudly and clearly because if the sound is of poor quality, this method will not work correctly.

Once you’ve found the video, copy the link in the address bar. Afterward, you will have to go to an online tool called Degrabador (you can find it at this link).

The page has a fairly simple layout. In the middle, you can find a white box where you will have to paste the URL of the YouTube video. Then press the start button to get started.

This process usually takes a few seconds. When finished, you will see a text with everything that was said in the video. The problem is that there will be no punctuation marks, so you’ll need to give it a review.

It is recommended to copy and paste that text into Microsoft Word and play the YouTube video. This way, you will check if the transcript was correct or if there was an error that you need to correct.
